Change Places If ....
Test the listening skills of your group whilst getting to know more about them.
Sit everyone in a Drama circle - this game works best sat on chairs.
A caller would call 'Change places if you have brown hair ' for example. The students who have brown hair would change places as quickly as possible, moving across the circle and sitting on an empty chair.
The game continues with more 'Change places if....'.
The caller can be the teacher or nominated students.
Keep them on their toes by saying 'All Change' or introducing a magic word for all change.
Take a chair away so that the person left standing becomes the caller.
Link the questions to a particular theme of the lesson. e.g. for a Victorian theme 'Change places if you think child labour was unfair.'
